Death Counselling
As a Death Consultant, Chantel works with individuals and their loved ones to explore and support them in the process of understanding and preparing for a 'Good' Death. Together, you delve into the various aspects of death, including what constitutes a good death, processing emotions around death, and authentic death care.
Embodiment Therapy
Embodiment Therapy is a holistic approach that integrates mind, body, and spirit to support individuals in their journey towards acceptance, healing, and transformation during the end-of-life phase. It involves various techniques to promote self-awareness, emotional expression, and overall well-being.
Our Approach
At Golden Leaves we are dedicated to creating a compassionate and supportive environment for individuals and their communities as they navigate the profound and sensitive topic of death. Our approach emphasizes open dialogue, active listening, and the cultivation of a safe space where individuals can freely express their thoughts, concerns, and aspirations. We believes in the power of community and shared experiences to foster understanding and acceptance, ultimately empowering individuals to embrace the concept of a 'Good' Death with grace and authenticity.

"Dream a little dream with me."
After high school in Regina, Saskatchewan, I worked at an accounting firm where I prepared personal and business taxes, did bookkeeping and learned the ins and outs of business. It was this time that I had my gallbladder removed at the age of 19. This was my first real experience as a patient, and it was an eye-opening experience. It made me start to question how I was spending my time in life, if it was this short. This experience ultimately led me to my calling in end-of-life care, where I help others make the most of their time.
I made a radical transition from the accounting firm to the Reserve Forces with the Navy. It was during my Basic Training for two months that I learned my power and capacity not only to endure but for resilience. This experience further solidified my passion for helping others navigate difficult times, and I knew I wanted to use my time to make a difference in people's lives.
After returning from Basic Training, I took a position working as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic back in Regina. I loved my position caring for our fur-panions and stayed for a duration of three years. Over time, my roles shifted throughout the clinic, but one role I found myself gravitating towards was supporting clients and their pets through the euthanasia process. It was here that I learned about the dynamic relationship we have not only with our pets but also with death. This experience further solidified my passions around death care.
My dream and desire is to support you in "Living a Good Death". This looks different for all of us as we learn to embrace our authentic you-ness. However, there are similar components and considerations to any end-of-life care plan that we can all explore together and learn from each other's uniqueness. What if we died in a circle held and supported by loved ones, knowing we deserved all the love and care that we could never pay back? How is your ability to ask for help in your times of need? How have you learned to embrace your body? This is a truly deep dive into it all, doing the SOUL work because YOU ARE WORTH IT!
Why do I do this? I love my mom. She was my first great teacher, and it was through her lessons that I discovered a life of service, gratitude, and joy. At a young age, she taught me to talk God everywhere, 'in my bedroom or on the toilet.' I thought she was nuts, but it worked. God became my first true companion in life; someone I could talk to all the time 'Give your worries to God.' ' you are mad at him, tell him, he knows it anyways.' I learned how to cultivate a relationship with the Holy Father, Source Energy. I recognize my awakening journey since infancy - frequently feeling more connected to spirit than to the fabricated world around me. Lets make heaven on earth a reality NOW!
This is my calling. This is my Purpose. This is my Dream.
Come dream a little dream with me :)
With Love All-ways,
Chantel
P.S. I started my career path as a Accountant... if I can do it, so can you! Do you Believe?
